Flame Retardant CYG Kynar (150°C) and (175°C)

KYNAR(150℃) is clear, thin-wall, flexible, flame-retardant heat shrinkable tubing with excellent chemical resistance.  It is especially suitable for applications requiring abrasion and cut-through resistance, or superior chemical and solvent resistance properties. Provides electrical insulation and strain relief of multipoint connectors and solder joints. Ideal for applications that require dense packing of components or visual inspection of covered components.

Standard: UL224, SAE-AMS-DTL25053/8

CYG-KYNAR(175℃) is clear, thin wall, semi-rigid, flame-retardant heat shrinkable tubing with both high temperature and chemical resistance. Especially suitable for applications requiring high temperature performance, outstanding abrasion resistance and cut-through resistance, or superior chemical and solvent properties. Provides electrical insulation and strain relief of multipoint connectors and solder joints. CYG-KYNAR(175℃) is ideal for applications that require dense packing of components or visual inspection of covered components.

Cold shrink tubing is a type of tubing that expands when removed from its packaging and contracts to form a tight, secure seal around cables or connectors without the need for heat. It offers a quicker and safer installation process compared to traditional heat shrink tubing, which requires a heat source. Cold shrink tubing is ideal for high-voltage cable applications and is widely used in outdoor environments, such as in power cable terminations and splices, due to its ease of installation and reliable sealing properties.

Heat shrink tubing shrinks when heated, forming a tight, protective layer over wires and components. Non-shrink tubing, such as PVC and PTFE, does not shrink but offers similar protection against mechanical damage and environmental factors. Non-shrink tubing is often used in applications where no shrinkage is required, providing insulation and protection for cables, wires, and components in a variety of industries, including electrical, automotive, and industrial sectors.

Splice protection sleeves are designed to protect cable splices from environmental damage and mechanical stress. These sleeves provide a durable, insulated covering for the cable joint, preventing moisture, dust, and physical wear from affecting the splice. Splice protection is essential in industries like telecommunications, electrical power distribution, and automotive, where reliable cable connections are necessary to maintain system integrity and performance.

In the power cable industry, heat shrink tubing is critical for protecting high-voltage cables and ensuring safe terminations. It provides excellent insulation against electrical faults, moisture, and extreme temperatures. Dual wall and heavy-duty heat shrink tubing are often used to seal power cable joints and terminations, offering both mechanical strength and environmental protection. This ensures the integrity of the power supply system, reducing the risk of downtime and system failure.

Heat shrink tubing in general electronics provides insulation and protection for wires and cables, preventing short circuits, moisture damage, and abrasion. It is commonly used in the assembly of circuit boards, power supplies, and consumer electronics, offering a cost-effective solution for cable management. The tubing's ability to shrink tightly around components ensures a secure fit, providing longevity and reducing the risk of electrical failures due to external environmental factors.

In the automotive industry, heat shrink tubing is primarily used for electrical insulation, protecting wiring and cables from moisture, dirt, and mechanical wear. These tubes are designed to withstand high temperatures and harsh environments, ensuring a secure and long-lasting connection in vehicles. Automotive applications often require heat shrink tubing that offers flame retardancy and resistance to chemicals, making them an essential component for vehicle wiring, battery cables, and connectors.
